We talked with Angolan DJ Ricardo Way aka RYKARDO. We talked about his music and about some of his preferences and opinions! Here it goes:

A little of everything. Funk. Hip hop. Latin rhythms of Brazil, Latin music from Cuba, Salsa.

When did you start playing music? How did you get into the industry?
Eight years ago in Bicaense with Dj Johnny, now in Angola. We were friends, he saw that I had many vinyls, and we shared the same essence through the Jazz and Black Music. After Bicaense, I was resident DJ at  Velha Senhora, I play at the Park, at the Topo and others!

What is the most important skill that a DJ should have?
The ability to read the crowd. How the dance floor is reacting.

What do you like to do other than music?
Cinema, photography and reading.

If you could change anything around you what would you chose?
I would change the President of my country. I would also change the whole political system.

What can we expect from your next performance in “the Good, the Bad and the Ugly”?
It is a place where I really want to go. I will bringa set of what I have heard, new things, old things. I will be myself.
